About CapStack Asset Finance
Experienced asset and business finance advice, delivered personally.
CapStack Asset Finance is a specialist asset finance and business finance broker based in Melbourne and assisting businesses across Australia.
We help business owners access and structure finance for vehicles, equipment, machinery, technology, working capital and other commercial requirements. Our role is to understand what the business is trying to achieve, identify suitable lenders and manage the finance process from initial assessment through to settlement.
CapStack Asset Finance is not a bank or lender. We are a finance broker that connects eligible Australian businesses with banks, non-bank lenders and specialist commercial finance providers.
Through our network of more than 70 lenders, we can assess a broad range of finance products rather than limiting a client to the options available from one financial institution.

Part of the broader CapStack business.
CapStack Asset Finance is the dedicated asset and business finance division of CapStack, a specialist commercial finance and capital advisory business founded in Melbourne in 2020.
The broader CapStack business assists property investors, developers and business owners with commercial property finance, development and construction finance, bridging loans, private credit and structured commercial debt.
CapStack Asset Finance extends that capability into the everyday funding needs of Australian businesses, including vehicles, machinery, equipment, technology and working capital.
This relationship enables us to consider the broader position of a business. A client may initially require finance for a truck, excavator or manufacturing asset, but may also need assistance with cash flow, business expansion, debt consolidation or the purchase of commercial premises.
Our objective is to help identify a finance structure that supports the asset being acquired while also considering the cash flow and wider plans of the business.
Meet our Founder and Director
Aviel Tamir is the Founder and Director of CapStack and has approximately 20 years of experience across commercial finance, property finance and business lending.
Throughout his career, Aviel has worked with property investors, developers, SMEs, family businesses and professional advisers to assess, structure and arrange funding for a wide variety of commercial transactions.
His experience covers commercial property acquisitions and refinancing, development finance, bridging and short-term loans, business finance, working capital and the funding of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
Aviel established CapStack to provide borrowers with experienced, hands-on assistance when navigating an increasingly diverse lending market. His approach begins with understanding the transaction and its commercial purpose before determining which lenders and finance structures should be considered.
Rather than simply submitting an application, Aviel works closely with clients to:
-
Understand the asset, business and proposed use of funds
-
Assess the borrower’s objectives and financial position
-
Identify suitable banks, non-bank lenders and specialist financiers
-
Structure the proposed loan around business cash flow
-
Prepare and present the finance application
-
Compare available terms, costs and conditions
-
Manage lender questions and approval requirements
-
Coordinate the transaction through to settlement
Aviel remains directly involved in client transactions and is supported by CapStack’s relationships across the Australian commercial finance market.

Not every lender will be suitable for every client or transaction. Lenders have different requirements relating to the age and type of asset, time in business, industry, credit history, financial documentation and intended use.
Our role is to assess the transaction and approach lenders whose products and credit appetite are relevant to the
client’s circumstances.
CapStack does not claim to represent every lender or finance product available in Australia.

We work with clients across metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate, including New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory.
Our finance process can generally be managed remotely by telephone, email and secure digital documentation.

Clients deal with experienced commercial finance professionals who remain involved throughout the process.
Support beyond the initial application
We help coordinate lender questions, supporting documents, approval conditions and settlement requirements.
Broader commercial finance capability
As part of CapStack, we can assist clients whose requirements extend beyond asset finance into business lending or commercial property finance.
How CapStack is remunerated
CapStack is generally paid a commission by the lender when a finance facility is successfully settled.
The amount and type of commission can vary according to the lender, product, loan amount and transaction. It may include an upfront commission and, for some products, an ongoing trail commission.
Receiving a lender commission does not increase the client’s approved loan amount unless a fee or cost is specifically included in the facility and disclosed in the finance documents.
In some circumstances, particularly where a transaction is complex or requires substantial advisory and structuring work, CapStack may charge a separate brokerage, mandate or advisory fee. Any client-paid fee will be disclosed and agreed before the relevant work is undertaken.
Relevant commissions, fees and other material information will be disclosed in accordance with applicable requirements.
CapStack is a finance broker and not a lender. Final credit decisions, interest rates, fees, terms and conditions are determined by the lender.
